The christmas postcards will be sold at upcomming LCA creative network events, in shops such a Colours may vary, online shop, and through the good old fashioned technique of approaching people. The audience will be people who apriciate christmas songs/ films. They may enjoy the print technique of risgraph and they may also enjoy giving to charity. 

An alternative Christmas : theme

Edward scissor hands:

The theme I have selected is Edward scissor hands. I have chosen this film as it is a beautifully filmed movie that I really enjoy. Both the aesthetics of the film and the story line are beautiful and it seems the more it ages the more beautiful it seems. This is not a film I would immediately associate with Christmas which I see as a good thing as I would be more inclined myself to purchase something that isn't too cliche and directly associate with Christmas. As this is not a Classic Christmas film my audience will be more specific and will apply to fans of this film which will play a part in how I decided to develop the visuals for the post card.

Alternative christmas : initial brief

Brief:

An alternative Christmas

This is a brief that has been set by Lizzi for the class where we are each given a particular song or Christmas film an have to design either a typographic post card or image based post card to that theme. The post cards will then be riso printed and sold with all money being donated to leeds based charity Simon on the streets. 

I have decided to do this brief as I feel it is Good opertunity to do a live brief and also have I piece of work being printed and put out in the real world. I also really like the fact that it is all for charity and is nice collective thing to do as third years as it will represent us in a good light. 

I aim to treat this brief as a short brief spending a maximum of one day on it.

This was a very enjoyable crit i got some great feed back about who i could contact for Tom and also ways his work could be produced. It was a very positive crit and I will contact the people I was advised to contact regarding selling Toms work.

Adopt a band : Flyer development

This Is a further developed version of the flyer as I do not feel the coloured versions are communicating very well. I still feel this needs work as something is not right bit this will be adreased at a later date

I am going to illustrate in some fashion the poems for the the posters and the postcards. Choosing certain poems and depicting what the poems is talking about , or rather how I personally interpret that poem. The booklet/zine will be purely text and feature information, facts and extra poems from Wilcox.
